I have decided to move this domain to One.com instead of using a personal web server. This may mean that the web site will be down in the meantime — hopefully only for a short while.
What does this mean for you? When the migration has been completed, the web site should be a whole lot faster. This will especially benefit users of the barterer section for Lord of the Rings Online.
The simplistic boxes in top has been replaced with a much better information box with tabs. The box will initially run in a carousel mode activating the tab buttons automatically. If you then click a tab yourself, the automatic carousel will stop.
It is possible to bookmark the index page on a specific tab and with the carousel turned off. The switch is called tab
and accepts values 0 to 4 to select any of the five tabs. For example:
This will show the index page with the Lord of the Rings Online tab continuously selected.
The section with Faction Goods in EverQuest II has been updated with new data for the latest patch (25 Feb 2010). The new images for lists and items are of a better quality yet also load faster, and I improved the list to select rows without having to load separate images. This should make browsing a lot faster than before.
There may be issues with the revised section in IE6 and IE7. I will look into that later.
The revised section should work in all web browsers again.
You can now browse the barterer pages (Lord of the Rings Online) for items in the skirmish camps. Click the menu button in top to go to the front page and then click one of the green oval labels.
The Raid Plus and Read Enchantments addons for World of Warcraft have been updated for patch 3.3.0.
I've updated Enchantments in World of Warcraft with the changes to Unholy Weapon and Black Magic, the addition of the Angler formula, and a few other trifles. I have also validated all links, materials and origins meticulously.
I haven't validated the glow animations for weapons yet, though. I know that there may be a couple of changes but it will have to wait as I currently don't have a running subscription. (I really wish Blizzard and SOE would offer lifetime subscriptions.)
A search box for the barterer pages (Lord of the Rings Online) has been added which allows you to search all items in all the zones. The new search box has been placed on the front page — just click the menu button in top to go there.
I've made a special skin for Lord of the Rings Online for making snapshots of item images, lists, and the dressing room easier by making the background completely opaque. Also, the silver frame in the dressing room has been removed and the zoom buttons have been simplified. You can download the skin here (11 KB) or in the Files section.
A true front page for the barterer pages (Lord of the Rings Online) has been added. Just click the menu button in the top to go there. You can select the zones covered and even their hubs from this page.
After a few weeks of hard work I am now proud to present a new section which shows all the barter items in Lothlórien for Lord of the Rings Online. This will be the third MMORPG covered with a reference section, which is quite fitting as I also find these three MMORPG to be the best of the lot. The new section can be found here.
I really made an effort to ensure that two things are in place with this section. The first is that I wanted it to be easy to find and list the barter items from all barterers in the zone. There are many nice database sites for the game, but in my opinion none of them really gives a great overview. The second priority was to cover every single barter item in the entire zone.
It should be easy to figure out how to use the section once you get there. There is a map of the zone in the left side where you can click red hub icons. Each hub icon shows a section with barterers in the middle. Clicking the blue barter icons here will select an NPC and subsequently list the barter items in the black box, which looks exactly like the box in the game. Now you can scroll up or down in the list, click rows to see the item tooltips, and you can hover the mouse on the icons to see what the barterers want as payment. Note that you can also use the drop-down box in the right side instead of clicking the blue barter icons.
The section also introduces my plunge into the world of jQuery. The page generally looks much snazzier than anything I've done before, but at the same time it has also made it possible to make things more compact. I'm really excited about this Javascript library and recommend it to anyone who wants to code smarter web pages.
I've updated Enchantments in World of Warcraft and the related addon to include the new Abyssal Shatter formula.
As you can see above, a new index page design has been introduced. Since this page was merged together with the news page, the menu button for the latter was removed. I hope you like the new design.
When viewing the 2H and Weapon pages in the section with enchantments for World of Warcraft, clicking a glow link no longer opens a pop-up window. Instead the page fades down and a lightbox opens in the center with the glow animation playing.
I've added an About page with some information about me and this web site. I also tweaked the design a little bit.
You can now access the web site as both http://chordian.dk and http://chordian.net.
Maybe you've already noticed that the menu bars are now stationary when scrolling, and that the secondary bar was changed into a slightly transparent panel. This should make it a lot easier to navigate long pages. Don't worry, I didn't use frames.
It's something I wanted to do for a long time — it required a lot of rewriting HTML to make it work. I've
tested it in a ton of web browsers and it should work fine in IE7, IE8, FF3+, Chrome, Opera and Safari. Currently it breaks
completely in IE6 and the menu buttons look bad in FF2. Maybe I'll have a look at these problems later — until then I
recommend you upgrade those browsers.
I fixed the problem with FF2 on August 28 by rewriting the menu code; it should now be much more robust.
The web site was fixed to work with IE6 on September 2. The menu is positioned correctly now, and the lightbox for weapon glows in the enchantments page also works. There are still a few minor glitches but nothing too severe.
The Raid Plus and Read Enchantments addons for World of Warcraft have been updated for patch 3.2.0.
I have also adjusted the enchantments page with the tweaks
in this patch, but I will need to scrutinize the entire list next week before I'm fully satisfied. There might be
a few undocumented features.
The entire list was parsed thoroughly on August 13, including all weapon glows. Nothing significant was found.
The 2H and Weapon pages in the section with enchantments for World of Warcraft have been updated with glow animation links for the new enchants added in patch 3.1.0.
I've updated the enchantments page for World of Warcraft to include the changes in patch 3.1.0. The glow animation links for the new weapon enchants are not in yet, though — I will add these later.
The Read Enchantments addon has also been updated for patch 3.1.0.
The Raid Plus addon for World of Warcraft has been updated for patch 3.1.0.
Removed the following games from the Game Statistics page to ensure that the section is now only about PC games.
| Game | Screenshots | Save | Difficulty | Duration | SvG |
The Raid Plus addon for World of Warcraft now also tracks the Beacon of Light buff.
A new addon for World of Warcraft called Raid Plus is now available for download.

Raid Plus is an addon for holy paladins that are using Blizzard's standard raid UI. It adds an extra buff icon for maintained Sacred Shield buffs in the top right corner of all raid frame player buttons.
The addon is also available at Curse.com.
I've updated the enchantments page for World of Warcraft to include the changes in patch 3.0.8. Note that two of the weapon enchants now have a red glow; Greater Savagery (2H) and Greater Potency (Weapon).
The Read Enchantments addon has also been updated for patch 3.0.8.
